Open Source

Clusterlogics is an automation and integration platform built on top of several Open Source solutions. Each of these solutions, is freely available for download and use, and can be found below. The value of our Clusterlogics platform, is the automation layer on top of each of these platforms, enabling them to be used by anyone who can operate a GUI. Additionally, there is a very large amount of value in our integrations between these systems, as well as external systems via our APIs. As our platform evolves, it will not only handle Backups & Recovery – but also – Big Data, Cloud Orchestration, Configuration Management, Access Management, and likely much more. We offer a full, centrally managed, integrated suite of solutions required to deploy, manage your infrastructure, even in the most complex hybrid environments.

Bareos

Bareos is a 100% open source backup and recovery solution. The fork has been in development since late 2010, and it has a lot of new features.
The source has been published on github, licensed AGPLv3.
Have a look and find out what’s new in Bareos or go directly to the download section.

Join the Bareos ISP Partnership Program, using the subscription version and you can rely on the Bareos support and development team.

Clusterlogics utilizes the Bareos Partner Program to benefit from the Open Source Subscription Version, along with Bareos support. Clusterlogics is active in sustaining further open source developments within the Bareos project.

Clusterlogics utilizes the Bareos platform for file and database level backups.  The Bareos engine, and client side agents, have been incorporated into our platform.  Clusterlogics layers in all of the configuration automation and integration requirements, making Bareos easy to use for everyone.

Elastic stack

Elasticsearch is a distributed, RESTful search and analytics engine capable of solving a growing number of use cases. As the heart of the Elastic Stack, it centrally stores your data so you can discover the expected and uncover the unexpected.

Elasticsearch lets you perform and combine many types of searches — structured, unstructured, geo, metric — any way you want. Start simple with one question and see where it takes you.

Clusterlogics utilizes the Elastic Stack (Elastic, Logstash, Kibina + X-Packs) to produce all of our Big Data Analytics. We have integrated and automated the platform into our GUI, with seamless, wizard based and automated installation and configuration on your infrastructure, advanced server and application dashboards and customized notifications.

Libvirt

Libvirt is an open-source API, daemon and management tool for managing platform virtualization. It can be used to manage KVM, Xen, VMware ESX, QEMU and other virtualization technologies. These APIs are widely used in the orchestration layer of hypervisors in the development of a cloud-based solution.

Libvirt is a C library with bindings in other languages, notably in Python, Perl, OCaml, Ruby, Java, JavaScript (via Node.js) and PHP. Libvirt for these programming languages is composed of wrappers around another class/package called Libvirtmod. Libvirtmod’s implementation is closely associated with its counterpart in C/C++ in syntax and functionality.

Various virtualization programs and platforms use Libvirt. Virtual Machine Manager and others provide graphical interfaces. The most popular command line interface is virsh, and higher level tools such as oVirt.

Clusterlogics has automated and integrated the use of Libvert tools into our platform.
